Only Get Feedback From Your Customers

Asking me for feedback on your product idea is a BAD IDEA. I get a lot of requests from founders in my DMs asking me to give them feedback on their product. No, it’s not because I’m a user or a potential user of the product. It’s because I’m but a fellow founder (and not even someone who's built in their space). This πŸ‘ is πŸ‘ a πŸ‘ bad πŸ‘ idea πŸ‘ The only type of person you should be getting feedback from is your customer or potential customer β€” not some random founder you found on LinkedIn (and now, Tiktok πŸ˜‰) This also includes investors. No matter how big of a brand they have, or how prestigious they seem, they are not your customers. If you get feedback from people who aren’t in your ICP, it dilutes your product and gives you the wrong signals. (Trust me, I’ve made this mistake too many times.) Time as a founder is super, super precious especially in the early stages so make sure you use it wisely and talk to (potential) customers! View original post on LinkedIn.
