Why We Default to Linear Over Slack

"Slack is where information goes to die." That’s why we default to making Linear tickets for everything instead. Slack is great for quick conversations, but terrible for tracking tasks and making sure things actually get done. So we have a simple rule: ✨ If a question takes more than 1 minute to answer or do → make a ticket ✨ And it’s not just for engineers. We also use Linear for: - Questions that require detailed answers - Compliance & enhanced due diligence investigations - Customer velocity limit requests - Growth experiments - QA checklists - Monthly financial operations and accounting tasks - Customer success to-dos At first, I thought this was the norm. But after onboarding a new teammate and chatting with other founders, I realized most teams don’t do this on the regular. Linear is such a great product—I’m more than happy to live in it daily!
