Want to chat about applying to SPC, the KP Fellowship or Forbes 30 Under 30? Read this first

Hi there!

You probably landed here because you saw that I was part of one of these programs:

  • South Park Commons (SPC) Community Member
  • Inaugural South Park Commons Founder Fellowship
  • Kleiner Perkins Product Fellow
  • Forbes 30 Under 30 (2024)

If you’re applying to any of them, congratulations! That’s a big, exciting step.

And if you were thinking of reaching out to ask for advice: I totally get it. I was in your shoes once too, trying to increase my odds, and I would’ve done the same.

Trust me: I really wish I could personally chat with everyone who reaches out.

But over time (and especially during application season), the number of requests has grown so much that I just can’t keep up, no matter how much I’d love to. (Ironically, the content I created to help at scale is what made even more people reach out! 😂)

So I created this post as a way to say: I see you, I’m rooting for you, and I still want to help, just in a more scalable way.

Below are resources I’ve made that go deep into how I approached these programs and how you might too.

South Park Commons membership & fellowship

  • SPC Founder Fellowship Part 1
  • SPC Founder Fellowship Part 2
  • Community as a Career Strategy
  • What it is & my experience, YC vs SPC, SPC Successes, Membership vs Fellowship, How to Stand Out

Kleiner Perkins Fellowship

  • My KP Application Essay
  • KP Fellowship How-To Guide
  • KP Fellowship FAQ

Forbes 30 Under 30

  • How I Got Forbes 30 Under 30

I hope these help you on your journey.

Good luck and maybe one day you’ll be writing a post like this too. 💛

With love,

Mika
